There are three major satellite providers in the USA , DIRECTV and Dish Network and Voom.  Of the three, DISH NETWORK  is the largest and has been established the longest, but is not necessarily better for you because of that.  Each customer has their own set of demands, and so the largest company may not be the best for everyone.  

DISH NETWORK provides satellite television to the urban areas of the United States .  A secondary company, Pegasus, provides DISH NETWORK  to rural areas, and the two companies are able to work in tandem by focusing on specific areas.

Other companies, such as Tracvision, through KVH, provide DISH NETWORK to vechiles such as boats, coaches and even family saloons.  This broad range of services means that DISH NETWORK is by far the biggest satellite provider in the US .
